500 Days of Summer

OK folks, bare with me for a little shameless promotion! 500 DAYS OF SUMMER is a movie I spent 3 years working on and guess what? It's AWESOME. I feel really privileged to have worked on it from start to finish, and am so proud of all the people who turned it into what will hopefully be, the hit of the summer!


500 DAYS OF SUMMER opens in Los Angeles and New York City on July 17th with other cities quickly to follow. Check out the trailer below!

The Red Balloon

The Red Balloon was one of my all time favorite books as a child. The story is of a young boy who discovers a stray red balloon which seems to have a mind of its own on the streets of Paris. The two become inseparable, yet the worlds harsh realities finally interfere. After the book became a huge success world-wide, the French author, Albert Lamorisse, wrote and directed the movie, Le Ballon Rouge, which came out in 1956.


It's a simple story but an incredibly magical and beautiful book and film. To this day, balloons continue to hold a special place in my heart!

Summer Reading

Roller Girl

Rollerskating is one of my all time favorite pastimes. I love the outfits, the funky old school music, and how it always make me feel like I'm at a 3rd grade birthday party!


This past year I discovered the monthly Roller Disco Party at World on Wheels in east L.A. The rink is attached to a full bar and everyone looks straight out off the set of Dazed and Confused. I love this place so much I even had my birthday party there last year!

Joshua Tree Visitors Guide

I had the glorious opportunity to spend the weekend visiting my best friend Lily in Joshua Tree, CA. Lily has lived in J-Tree for almost a year now and has discovered all of it’s hidden secrets. Monday Moodboard

My best friend Bree gave me my very first copy of Griffin and Sabine: An Extraordinary Correspondence when I went to live in Montreal for 6 months. It has become one of my all time favorite books because it's romantic and mysterious and always brings me to a magical place. Bree sent along a c.d. to listen to while I read it and I think it's one of the most amazing reading/listening experiences I have ever had.
