Down & Out

Friday, October 8, 2010

Well, it's official. I have a very bad cold. I'm not surprised truthfully; these last 3 weeks have been filled with staying up late creating birthday party decorations, watching modern family and playing with the pup. Sleep has not been my priority. So I'll spend the weekend in bed eating chicken noodle soup and watching The Wire. What helps you feel better when you have a cold? Any suggestions welcome! And a happy weekend to you all!

  5. I drink a lot of orange juice, a lot of water, and a lot of green tea with honey. Also, Cold Eeze lozenges... taste good and they cut the life of the cold (I swear!) They are homeopathic - basically just zinc tablets.

Other than that, rest! I like tylenol cold, too - if you need something like that. They have a day and night pack and it's good because it works and it doesn't keep me up at night.

  7. Love chicken noodle soup. Also - this really works; cut an onion in quarters, cover it with honey and bake for 20 minutes, then when it cools drink the honey/onion mixture. Honestly it works wonders as the honey soothes and the onion is antibacterial. I always use it... Lou x
