Music Monday: Your Turn!

Monday, April 4, 2011

I've been on the go-go-go this past month with rehearsals and meetings and work and puppy walks. Not that I'm complaining, I l-o-v-e this project and feel so good at the direction it's heading, but my ipod and my little ears are simply aching for some new jams.  I would love some suggestions if you would like to share.

Here's my sweet but short current playlist:

 Rolling in the Deep (Adele)
Big Jet Plane (Angus & Julia Stone)
What Beats Within (Jenny Owen Youngs)
Pumped up Kicks (Foster the People)
Backseat of a Greyhound Bus (Sara Evans *an oldie but a goodie I know!)

What are you listening to on this Music Monday?  I'd love to hear!

  1. I'm totally digging adele's 'rolling in the deep' these days!! xx meenal

  2. love your list darling! Happy monday!

  3. Love your taste in tunes! Have you listened to Iron and Wine or The New Pornographers? They are both fantastic :)

  4. Love that image and great tase in music@!

  5. listening to some buddy holly and sam cooke this morning, everything old is new again:)

  6. The Naked + Famous! Joni Mitchel! John Legend! Abigail Washburn!

  7. Hey Kate,
I keep on thinking about your purse being stolen when you left it in the car to pick up Scout. Every time I am in the car I always think back to your story. Thanks for teaching and passing on that lesson. I hope you got everything sorted. Good Luck with Rent!

  8. Given you are oh so au courant with your tunes, you may already have these, but I think you'd like:

Limit to Your Love- James Blake
    Get Some- Lykke Li
    Dance Dance Dance- Lykke Li
    Bang Bang Bang- Mark Ronson
Robbers & Hospital Beds- Cold War Kids
    So Insane- Discovery

love love love and keep kicking butt sistafren!!!

  9. I saw and met The Tellers a few weeks ago when they were in the states for a west coast tour (they're from Belgium) and I have had their latest album Close the Evil Eye on repeat ever since. They're the kindest group of boys +1 girl and I strongly suggest checking them out!

  10. My new guilty pleasure musically is indie-electronica. Great to dance and exercise to. Ladyhawke, Dragonette, Yele... Maybe it's not artistically brilliant but it's fun.

  11. Really like the new Peter Bjorn and John (Second Chance) as well as new Lykke and Mark Ronson, which someone already posted! Random song I like: Mystery Jets, Two Doors Down. Catchy.
