A note to my bestest!

I just have to say, you guys, that my best friend is the shiz. We met when we were 15 years old at boarding school in tucked away Concord, NH. I, wearing torn abercrombie jeans (were those ever cool?) and a spice girls t-shirt and Lily, dressed in hemp with flowers in her hair asked me, "would you like any of my fresh organic chips?" I responded with " no thank you, but I'm meeting Leonardo DiCaprio next week!" WHAT? (that totally never happened, by the way) We couldn't have been more different but I do believe, our hearts are the same.  We met 14 years ago and have embarked on many a misadventure; most of which usually include unfathomable amounts of ice cream, incredible amounts of skipping and a lot a lot of laughter. Lily is currently bad-assing it around India with her wonderful husband; painting, photographing, and I'm sure, taking her little Himalayan town by storm. Every time I read her blog  (if you aren't aware of it, be aware of it now. follow it. follow her. you'll love it) my eyes well up with appreciation and a constant renewed sense of inspiration. I feel so special to know this person and thought I would share a little of that love online today. Plus I just miss her a lot and this blogpost is cheaper than sending a letter to India. (KIDDING!) Happy Birthday, bigBang!

Today is my best friend's birthday and I may be even more excited than when it's my birthday! (AHHH!) Ms. Lily Stockman of bigBang studio turns the big 2-8 today and I hope she's off frolicking in her joshua-tree desert backyard filled with balloons (just like this adorable photo below) I'm not going to say anything else about any particular birthday surprises - however - I will say that it may involve paper crowns, a home-made baked cake and lots of post dinner dancing ....

Joshua Tree Art Show

Good morning! I hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween weekend! I thoroughly enjoyed the festivities, but my weekend was truly made when I took a trip to Joshua Tree, CA to visit the incredible Ms. Lily Stockman's Art Show!! Lily and I have been best friends since we were 15-years-old when we shared a bag of organic chips over a thunderstorm-watching-date! She recently moved to Joshua Tree with her husband and two dogs and spends her time painting and writing in her adorable studio. She has been a guest blogger on LPC, has her very own amazing blog which I'm completely in awe of, and is my daily inspiration! Check out some of her incredible pieces below.
