I am addicted to every single piece of Steven Alan's new Fall Collection, especially that little blue dress up top. For all of you who like myself, love but can't afford this stuff, try the Steven Alan Outpost locations in Los Feliz/Upper West Side. I've found some incredible pieces at each store for half the price!

Savitri designs clothing that is meant to be minimal, practical and fashion forward and is inspired by the modernist architectural concept of “liveability”. Don't you just want to curl up in these and lounge in a garden whilst drinking tea and eating crumpets? I say yes!

Modern Day Dorothy

Made for Madewell

Madewell has recently become my new clothing obsession, and their looks for fall are driving me to use that credit card more than it should be! I love fall clothing more than any other seasons, and Madewell just does it all sooooo well. Check out some of my favorite looks below, and visit their website here to get a better sneak peak. I also highly recommend visiting one of the Madewell stores if there happens to be one in your hood; the girls are friendly, the music is rockin' (while I was there yesterday they played a mix featuring Rilo Kiley, Metric, Hot Chip, among others!) and the clothes will simply speak for themselves.

The classics

Hi there! My name is Marie-Eve and I write a blog called LAKE JANE. I have several things in common with La Petite Choue, including a profound love for the city of Montreal, so I feel right at home, guest blogging here this morning!

Lately I've been thinking a lot about how to spruce up my closet for Fall and Winter. It's not that I lack fashionable pieces but rather that I lack staples. I seem to always buy trendy pieces but have no basics to pair them with. I remember when I had the opposite problem so I switched it up and went way over board and now the trendy pieces have overtaken all the basics I had accumulated. Apparently I have an issue finding a middle ground. So now I'm on a mission to add in all those pieces which I deem to be "true cold-weather classics"; the kinds of pieces you invest in because you know they'll never go out of style. Here's my list but I'd love to hear yours too!
